A Northflank alternative on European clouds.
Northflank is a container platform from London for services, jobs, databases and preview environments, on its own cloud or on Kubernetes in your own AWS, Google Cloud or Azure account. Brewless also deploys into accounts you own, but only at Scaleway and bunny.net, two European-owned clouds, and only for Laravel.

Northflank and Brewless at a glance
| Topic | Northflank | Brewless |
|---|---|---|
| Company | Northflank Ltd, London, United Kingdom. | Coding Agency, Meppel, the Netherlands. |
| How your app runs | Containers on Kubernetes, built from a Dockerfile or buildpack, with release workflows, jobs, databases and preview environments. | Serverless containers: your app starts with traffic and stops when it is quiet. There are no servers to manage. |
| Whose account | Either: Northflank’s managed cloud, or a cluster in your own AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Oracle or CoreWeave account. | Yours: your own Scaleway project and bunny.net account. Brewless is the control plane and is not in the path of your visitors. |
| Infrastructure | Its own managed cloud, or the hyperscaler of your account. | Scaleway (France) for your app, bunny.net (Slovenia) for the edge in front of it. Both European companies. |
| Regions in Europe | Frankfurt, the Netherlands, Zurich and Europe West, next to regions on every other continent. | Paris, Amsterdam, Warsaw and Milan. |
| Scales to zero | Not listed on its pricing page or in its autoscaling documentation. | Yes, when you set the minimum to zero. |
| Price | Free sandbox; then per second: $0.01667 per vCPU-hour and $0.00833 per GB-hour, a small service from $2.70 a month. | Free to try with one application. Paid plans from €15 a month, with unlimited environments on every plan. Scaleway and bunny.net bill you directly, and Brewless takes no percentage of that. |
| For Laravel | A Laravel guide with a Dockerfile or buildpack, and general cron jobs, workers and migration jobs in a release workflow. | Migrations as their own step in every deploy, queues on Scaleway Queues, the schedule read from your app, Artisan on the live release, and brewless init to start from a vapor.yml. |

Scale to zero
With a minimum of zero, your containers stop when nobody visits.
Built for Laravel
Migrations run as their own step and the schedule is read from your app; no Dockerfile or workflow to build.
